Our Test
Spyware Nuker XT anti-spyware was tested on a PC running a recent install of Windows XP. The program download was 6.7 MB and during the installation process we were given the option to sign up for a newsletter. The newsletter offers announcements, user tips, new features, and technical support. Sign up is completely optional and you can skip it if desired.
Once installed, the program interface is straight forward and easy to navigate. On the main screen, users can choose which folders to scan as well as the scan depth. We did the default “Quick Scan” which detects common infections.
The program scanned our “Progam Files” and “Windows” folders by default. The scan took approximately 4 minutes and successfully detected 3 items that needed removal.
